Pratt & Litchworth Pumper This P. & L. pumper is what we call the "transitional" version. It was made towards the end of P. & L's run. It incorperated the Carpenter patented kicker wheels under the horses. At about this time both companies merged and the remaining P. & L. castinge were incorperated into the Carpenter line, thus the sometimes confusing mixture of parts. This transitional piece is a bit rare as it is scarcely seen. The paint is great and it is all original.
